Lejos del ruido de los grandes clubes capitalinos, los del interior construyen su historia con esfuerzo, paso a paso y con ejemplos de vida. El autor –que es un gran investigador del CONICET, de National Geographic y del Smithsonian Institute- nos cuenta la historia de uno de estos clubes, e incluye además la conquista de la Pampa, el nacimiento del pueblo y del club, la biografía de Jorge Newbery, el desarrollo del deporte en la zona, las distintas actividades deportivas practicadas, los grandes hombres del club, el clásico con Roberts, eventos sociales y deportivos. Far from the noise of the great capital teams, those of the interior build their history with effort, step by step and with life examples. The author  —who is a great researcher of the CONICET, the National Geographic and the Smithsonian Institute— tells us the history of one of these clubs, and includes in addition the conquest of the Pampas, the birth of the town and the club, the biography of Jorge Newbery, the development of the sport in the region, the different practiced sport activities, the great figures of the club, the classic with Roberts, and the social and sport events.
